It is officially winters and time to take out your winter wardrobe staples as well as the trendy statement pieces. But this winters, if there is one accessory that I am totally obsessing over, it has to be my over-the-knee black suede boots (check for similar ones here, here & here) which I bought recently from my favorite Delhi market. This is one pair of accessory that is super chic and a quick & trendy way of adding style & statement to any look. Though this is a relatively new trend in India, it is quite popular and trending in the west. One can see various versions of it ranging from flats to pencil heels, zipper openings to tie-backs, leather to suede, being worn on the streets and also in fashion weeks and celebrity outings. I opted for a suede version with block heels for a more understated & comfortable vibe. The material is super-soft, warm and sticks to my leg like second skin.

Now there are many ways to style these boots! And my mind has been racing with lot of creative ideas. But I thought of starting with the most classic way of styling with a pair of skinny jeans and a top (you will see more styling ideas  with these boots in future posts). So I grabbed my Vero Moda jeans and paired it with my Vero Moda black top. The stripe pattern on the top enhanced the classic appeal of the outfit. And off-course the black quilted chain strap shoulder bag was a perfect addition for a super-trendy, edgy, effortless look. I kept it simple and stuck to the basics! However a long black overcoat or a woolen cardigan may be added for further warmth and layering.
