It’s called Martini Olive! I struggled too to get the exact name for this shade which appears to be somewhere between a brown, taupe, olive & deep gray. Hailed as one of the top fall colors for 2018, this warm, autumnal shade looks so sophisticated and urban; almost like an updated version of the neutral tones of brown, chocolate or khaki. Each season the team at the Pantone Color Institute creates the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report which is a color overview highlighting the top colors for the upcoming season. This report is a key indicator of the colors that one can hope to see in the fresh season. Combining classicism with colorful expression, the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report Fall/Winter 2018 features a bold palette of autumnal hues complemented by some unexpected shades. Martini Olive is one of those unexpected fall colors which has also been announced as one of the five new classics. Well this comes as no surprise going by the versatility and wear ability of this rich, deep, earthy hue.

And I have never been so fascinated by a color shade as this before! It’s smooth, chic and has a certain mystery around it. I am sure to be wearing this warm, muted color on the repeat not just this fall but also throughout the year. And I could not be more excited to style this gorgeous bat-wing loose-fit martini olive top that almost set the tone for my fall color palette. Since this is the perfect time for rich, warm neutral tones, I worked around a palette of black, gold & brown. I picked my black jeans as the bottom with black ankle boots (which I break out every season) to add to the length of the frame. I also grabbed my Zara black shrug as an outer layering piece which is really meant for mornings & late evenings only since the days are still on the warmer side. Another highlight of today’s look was a set of golden metallic statement earrings that added the perfect touch of bling to my autumn look. I love the way these earrings are adding polish to the outfit and making it look more put together. To finish off the look, I added a pop of color with my warm oxblood lips that really stand out well against the neutral palette of my outfit.

How do you like my look? This fresh fall color can be seen in almost all major stores across the city. I believe it’s a great way to start your fall and look absolutely trendy and chic….
