With the chill mellowing down a little and spring just around the corner, I wanted to wear my winter pieces in shades of browns & tans before the total switch of season. How I love the color palette of browns, tans, taupes and nudes! If given a chance, this is one palette that I would wear all round the year besides my perennial blue combinations. It is that combination, which for me is very classic, rich, earthy and understated. Today I wanted to bring in together all these shades in a single look for a smart, winter, outing style. Call it a transitional look or a core winter look, I just love how all these colors compliment each other to the T.

For winters, a chic outerwear is a must-have in my closet, and this deep chocolate-brown poncho with black silk ribbons is an absolute perfection. The subtle vintage vibes of the poncho are balanced by the edgy and cool tan quilted leather knee-high boots with golden buckles. The poncho matches superbly with one of my most favorite and versatile pieces, my AND nude culotte jumpsuit which I am wearing on a repeat and which I am sure you may remember from a lot of previous posts. For the finishing touch I wore my tan Rayban sunglasses and my Color Bar rusty mocha brown lip-shade. It’s almost like a modern nod to the style of the ’70’s. How do you guys combine your browns, tans & other earthy tones? Let me know in the comments below.
