Hello Everyone,
A very happy 2017!
As we all make plans and resolutions for the new year, I too have resolved to devote some of my time to my hobbies and passion in the current year. It is most easy to forget what you used to love doing at one point of time because of the daily life struggles and the race for money, fame & power. But I have decided to put brakes on that race and slow my pace in order to embrace my passion. After all one cannot forget the basis and aspirations for one’s life only because someone out there is fiercely competitive and much ahead of you in the rat race.

One of my favorite pastimes in the last few years has been sketching & painting. Even though I have not been able to paint as much as I would have wanted to due to time commitments, I have made a promise to myself to devote a few hours every month on unleashing my creative instincts and satisfying my aesthetic hunger. When it comes to fine arts, there are in-numerous styles that one can relate to and adopt depending upon one’s creative abilities and perception. As for me, I thoroughly enjoy pencil & pastel drawings (including sketches) as well as pop abstract expressionism.Pop allows me freedom of colors while expressionism as an art form is like a white blank canvas allowing infinite possibilities of moods & persona. As a part of the three post series, today I bring to you a few select pop expressionist paintings made by me in 2014. Hope you enjoy them!
