Recently I wore this beautiful, color-blocked, poncho sweater from Sammydress for an important “corporate” meeting with a client! I just love the way this poncho makes the entire look so chic and effortless. Hence this post 🙂 It is that statement piece that can be added to any winter outfit for instant style & warmth. The color-blocking pattern in complementing shades of green, charcoal and gray along with its asymmetric fall add that perfect feminine touch to an otherwise slightly masculine look. For bottoms I wore my Misook wide-leg black straight pants which I have been wearing now since the last more than fifteen years and which are as good today as when I first bought them from a Misook store in NYC. There is nothing more formal and comfortable than MISOOK when it comes to slick office wear. For my footwear, I opted for the ever-so-smart and trendy Vicenza black suede pumps with block heels that were not just comfortable but perfect keeping in mind the girl boss look. The black H&M sock pair were the right accessories to keep me cozy as well as to continue with the lower black frame making me look tall and impressive. My finishing touch is no secret with the Chloë thrown in keeping in tone with the serious, work look. The best part is that I could carry it cross-body without making it look casual leaving my hands free to hold my laptop bag! A happy-me 🙂
And now for a quick winter tip! I always feel that in winters a black bottom with a black footwear and a black pair of socks (in case it shows when you are wearing pumps/ sandals/ stilettos) is almost like an ideal uniform with multiple options for the top and outerwear. Almost anything & everything that you wear for the top looks very chic & effortlessly stylish. Hope you guys will style your winter looks with this tip in mind!
