You would agree that over-the-knee boots also commonly called over-the-thigh boots are having a moment! Everyone from the runway to the IT girls, the celebrities, socialites, models, the elitists, the college-going girls, the street smart and the girl next door is wearing some version of them in their own distinctive style. The best thing about these boots is their versatility, comfort and ultra-chic. You can pair them with your skinny jeans, short skirts, long skirts, tunics, dresses and what not and you definitely have an instant style edge!

Not too long ago, I did a post about styling the Over-the-knee boots in the regular, classic style with your skinny denims and the black striped tee! Today’s post is all about getting a notch higher and styling these boots in the not-so-regular style or let’s say in a power look. I am sure by now, all of you are aware of how I love smart, slick, powerful looks. Though I was a little skeptical initially, but I think I have been able to pull of this unexpected look with total chic & sophistication. My power element for today is my Zara navy long coat which works great for this girl boss look with some added military vibes. Not at the risk of looking too officy, I simply placed the coat over my shoulders instead of wearing it. Is this not a great trick that makes you look chic effortlessly? In order to break the monotony of black and navy, I finished the look with my tan tote bag that certainly added a pop pf color to an otherwise deep shaded monochrome look.

Another twist to today’s look is the slight fold of the boots over the knees. A little skin show never did anyone harm! It is great way to add a touch of flirtiness to your outfit. So whether you wear them straight or with a fold, over-the-knee boots are definitely your IT footwear for this season and may be even for seasons to come. Don’t you agree with me?
