Khaki Brown Winter Coat: Zara
With Delhi winter cold at its peak, a good stylish winter coat is the perfect answer to all your chill problems. Because I do not like to stuff myself with tons of clothing during winters (it makes me very uneasy and too packed to be able to go about my daily routine), my Zara khaki brown winter coat was an ideal choice to beat the freezing temperatures without compromising on the style quotient. I wanted to break from the monotony of a regular trench style coat hence I opted for this one. I just love the way how this coat works superbly well with almost all kind of winter looks and styles. The top highlights of this “IT” winter coat are its super smooth suede texture, stylish buttons on the front and the cuffs and its oversize pockets that cover your palms completely keeping you warm & cozy. The best part? It’s chic color between the deep military khaki and a perfect winter brown. Today I have curated three distinct, go-to winter looks where this versatile outerwear adds a splendid cool punch while being totally functional at the same time.
Olive Dress: Forever 21 | Silver Pumps: Kins (Rajouri Garden Market) | Silver Clutch: Kins (Rajouri Garden Market)
We are in the thick of holiday and party season. At this time of the year, a winter coat like this one becomes a winter essential. Since it’s a great neutral shade, it can be thrown over any of your colorful party dresses to add to the glam factor. In this look, I have kept it simple and classic with my coat over my olive knee-length bodycon dress. The silver clutch purse and the silver pumps are my statement pieces adding to the dressy glam factor. I finished the look with deep oxblood (you guys know how much I love that shade) lips for that extra pop of color. How simple & stylish is this party look?
Turtleneck: Mango | Stockings: Jabong | Platform Chunky Lace-up Shoes: Kins (Rajouri Garden Market) | Gucci Padlock Shoulder Bag: Kins (Rajouri Garden Market) | Black Fedora Hat: Forever 21
I just love how easily this coat can be converted into almost a dress style attire and thrown over the most basic winter staples, a black turtleneck (a black turtleneck is almost a winter classic and a staple in every girl’s wardrobe) and black stockings. And voilà! we have a chic winter look in the making without much effort. It’s minimal, chic and absolutely classy. This is one of the most popular go-to looks for a winter work wear, meetings or even between them for leisure. You can replace the chunky block heel boots with pumps to convert to a core office look.
Camel Jumper: Zara | Skinny Denim Jeans: Vero Moda | Ankle Length Suede Boots: Mango
Dressing the coat further down I arrived at a casual trendy look which I styled with a basic pair of blue denim and a brown jumper. I am loving the almost monochrome vibes of this look specially with my deep brown ankle heel boots as my footwear. One can add a solid/ printed neck scarf/ wrap for an interesting, fun element. You can also elevate the look by replacing the ankle boots with knee-high ones for a more hard-hitting style statement. But me being a minimalist at heart , I kept it simple yet smart.
How do you like my 3 styling ideas with this IT winter coat? I can safely say that a winter coat is a closet essential for both work and play. It flatters any winter style be it the daily go-to looks with denim and sweaters, office looks with tailored pants and jackets or the party & pub looks with dresses and skirts. It’s timeless, it’s versatile and it’s almost a classic. Go pick your style because the market has huge number of options and silhouettes to choose from!
