With sustainability being the order of the day, reusing, restyling & reselling apparel is gaining importance like never before! And why not? It is a perfect way of not only saving your resources but also exercising your creativity to build up new looks with the clothes that you already own. The result is a smaller and more organized closet with only the pieces that are investment pieces and those that will last for years, season after season. So you have a less cluttered closet, more time on hand, a more organized lifestyle and most importantly your mind is detoxed of all the extraneous pieces that could have burdened your pocket and/ or your wardrobe. With celebrities too endorsing sustainability in a big way, it is time we indulge in lesser shopping, recreate new styles with our existing wardrobe and donate/ resell the old/used clothing for better & more potential usage. Let us take our first step towards sustainability with these small little gestures.

Having been totally inspired by the fashion sustainability movement, I have restyled one of my gorgeous Zaful floral tunic tops with a new, fun twist. It is a loose, over-sized, flowy top with a beautiful floral pattern in blue & white, and one which works well for all seasons. I have worn this tunic top in the past for an everyday, go-to look and for an edgy, flamboyant look. For today, the styling is somewhat between the above two looks. It is a casual, relaxed, trans-seasonal look with a punch of bohemian vibe to it. See that beautifully carved antique silver necklace! It is clearly a more street style inspired look that is sure to catch people’s attention. So what do you think about this restyling project? Well this is not the end of styles for me as far as this tunic is concerned. Be sure to catch me again in this one with a completely new take…..
