Knot Trend for Everyday Looks

Knot trend is one trend that makes even a basic white T more fun & interesting and gives it an instant, playful mood-lift! It is a 90’s trend that made a come back on spring summer runways in 2017 and has since then spread like wild fire. Though it trickled down the runway in the simplest of forms, you can now see this trend in it’s more fancier & complicated forms including huge accent knots on tops & skirts and even massive knotted bows on dresses & evening gowns. The swimwear/ beachwear too have got a sexy, new, knotted twist to them. With fashion designers & stylists knotting up almost everything under the sun, do make sure to have your pick of this trend in a style that fits you best. This is such a fun way of adding a hint of sporty-luxe/ casual street-style vibe to any outfit while maintaining its femininity. Talk about styling an outfit effortlessly & minimally, knots definitely fit the bill because of casual ease & comfort associated with them. So with a few knotted pieces in your wardrobe, your daily boring looks can be transformed to something vibrant & trendy!

Picking cues from this trend, I have styled my Chambray knot style shirt for two everyday looks. One is more of a daily work wear style with a mid-waist vest (to cover the slight chill of fall) while the other is a casual dressy one with tan animal print pumps and metallic statement earrings that can be worn for an informal brunch or a movie outing. But certainly my knotted chambray shirt is a clear departure from my regular tops & shirts and one that I am totally obsessessed with 🙂 It’s simple, feminine, interesting and yet not over-the-top. And the good news is that these are quite reasonably priced. So with fashionistas gong crazy about everything that can be wrapped or burled and with brands shelling out huge number of pieces with knots & ties, this trend is definitely one you want to wrap yourself around with.
