How does one look effortlessly glamorous, chic & stylish all at once without compromising on comfort in this scorching summer Delhi heat? The answer is a crochet lace & fringe top that is not only weather appropriate but also makes you look on spot with the trends. Crochet & lace as a trend have had their good days & bad intermittently. But if we talk about summers there is nothing more casual & stylish and off-course airy than crochet. I have always been attracted to crochet tops because it’s so easy to walk around comfortably in them in this unbearable heat. The one in today’s post was bought by me a few years ago from a street shop in KosaMui,Thailand. It was originally a long top that I wore as a dress but later I cropped it to convert it into a versatile, flattering top.
But I have to admit that this gorgeous blue crochet lace top per se was not the selling factor for me. It was the fringes at the sleeve edges that got me completely hooked. It was a perfect mix of utility meets style. Fringes are so much in vogue these days whether it is with tops, skirts, pants, jumpsuits or even jeans. There is something about the fringes that instantly adds a touch of bohemia to any garment. It is almost like sporting your fun, casual side with a hint of trend. So this blue crochet fringe top coupled with my favorite denim skirt was a perfect choice of outfit for me recently for a summer day outing. I also loved how my chocolate square bag color matched perfectly with my chocolate ballerinas and completed my look with a slightly formal vibe!
