Geek Chic is an obvious oxymoron but one really hard to miss. From runways to street style, this cute, quirky look has been having a major moment for the past few years and can be spotted almost everywhere. Incorporating a geek chic element such as a nerdy glass is a fun way to punch up a fashionable but otherwise lackluster outfit into something with a little more edge. So if you have a pair of glasses at home that you rarely wear, style an outfit around them! You may surprise yourself; but even if you don’t have glasses, you may pick up a pair of faux frames for the same look! Trust me, they really add that cute,funky quotient to your personality.
With my pair of frames (faux) as the inspiration this time, I was initially skeptical about creating a distinct look around them. But I am extremely pleased with the final outcome since it totally brings out the confidence and the quirkiness that I was trying to achieve with this look. I did play safe with a Forever 21 denim vest on a Vero Moda denim ripped jeans but felt there was a missing element somewhere. And so entered my StalkBuyLove slashed sleeves crop top to my rescue. It added the right amount of flirtiness and femininity to the entire outfit.All in all a fun, quick, cool way to dress up when you are in a mood to romanticize with yourself!
