Leopard wasn’t the only big cat on the runway this fall/ winter season; there were tigers and cheetahs and zebras, too. And this was exactly my inspiration behind today’s post! Animal prints have long been a wardrobe staple for stylish women but this fall, animal prints are going to take over with a whole new twist. From luxe leopard to snakeskin and zebra, there are endless options to take your look to the wild side this fall.

Whether you’re on the prowl for a leopard jacket or a cool pair of snake print boots, a zebra print skirt or a tiger pattern shirt, I can tell you that it’s actually a jungle market out there this fall/winter! But then we are not complaining… I mean which lady does not love a leopard print? This season has seen the revival of the classic leopard coats and the tiger print and these patterns can be spotted from a mile away when worn down to the shoes. It’s a throw-on-and-go, eye-catching outfit for the new season. And something totally worth investing in! You would agree that a leopard-print coat is something that probably your mother or grandmother wore before you and something that you may even pass on to your children. These classic pieces are relevant for all seasons year after year!

The revival of the Great Animal Print can be seen even from the sales figures of some of the top fashion brands—Where Realisation Par’s leopard slip skirt ruled this summer, Net-A-Porter doubled its buy of leopard-print pieces since last season. Zara’s F/W 2018 collection boasts of snakeskin print tunics and the asymmetric animal print skirt which are predicted to sell out pronto. The runway has been ruled by Tom Ford’s red & green leopard print sequinned suits to Balenciaga’s and Givenchy’s zebra print plunging, figure-hugging dresses that would live a long and lustrous life in any fashionista’s wardrobe. In fact the latest twist on the animal print (that I mentioned earlier) has been the replacement of the neutral colors with bright & bold technicolors such as neons & fluorescent hues. Colorful animal prints stormed the runways this season and were spotted at Tom Ford, Adam Selman, Ashley Willias, Zadig & Voltaire and in many more designer collections.

Trends come and go and then come again and go again! But some trends like the animal prints never go out of style. They may be more popular one season than another but, on the whole, they are forever pieces that form the cornerstones of our wardrobes. These are something that you buy today and wear forever. Animal print is definitely a perennial trend that’s been coming round on repeat since the twenties. Talk versatile, talk flattering, talk edgy, talk comfort—There is nothing that fits the bill more perfectly than an animal print!
