With the 70s trend of the “fringe” back in action, and getting popular too, it was time I gave my own twist to it. But me being a complete modern minimalist at heart, it was not quite a cakewalk. Now using a bohemian inspired piece of clothing and giving a modern twist to it really sounded quite interesting but a little challenging too. To begin with, I had to chalk out the right modern elements which when added to the look would keep the vintage(ness) of the fringe shrug intact. Keeping the boho style quotient untouched, I threw the faux suede tan fringe shrug over my top to bottom black look. My fitted skinny black pants from Jabong are definitely quite “today” and my narrow pointed black pumps speak modern like no other footwear. The black button down Mango shirt, a great staple piece, lends structure and precision to the look. The total black look is without a doubt absolutely chic and very modern.
But since I really wanted to highlight the pop and retain the old charm of the tan fringe shrug, I added a golden antique style necklace that totally pulled the look together. It made the entire look more polished and quite dressy. I am completely sold out on this look which is a total go-to with the right amount of boho, minimal, modern & the vintage. It can be termed casual as well as formal at the same time. A great transitional outfit from winter to spring!
